Is Voyage worth the price difference over Paperwhite 2?

A question to those lucky ones who had the opportunity to play a bit (or even better - own) with both the Voyage and the Paperwhite 2 - is the difference between those two worth the price difference? I'm really stuck right now as to which should I go for to replace my Kindle 4 and since the page turning buttons certainly aren't worth the price, I guess it all comes down to the screen. Is it _that much_ better than the Paperwhite's to justify the price leap? Is it the "Oh my God, I'm blown away" kind of difference? I mean - I like the looks of the Voyage but am still clueless as to if the difference in screen is visible if you're not holding the reader two inches from your face. Thank you a lot in advance for all the help

I love my Voyage but tbh if you've never had a lighted kindle then I think you'll be very happy with a Paperwhite. The problem with the Voyage is while the clarity of the screen is lovely it does have a two tone look with the top being a fraction darker. That may not bother you, and some are better than others, but if it did you would be disappointed with the Voyage.

That's the frustration; the lighting is much better (uniform) on the latest paperwhite, the screen is sharper on the Voyage, especially noticeable on pictures. Pick your poison.

It's subjective really, but to me personally the price difference is not worth it and I actually think the PW has a nicer, much more even screen.

The Voyage is a wonderful piece of technology. The bezeless glass display, the haptic feedback and the smaller size are all nice, but they don't offer enough to justify the price difference between it and the PaperWhite 2.

I had the PaperWhite, and I currently own a Voyage and an Aura HD. I don't regret getting the Voyage, but for $119, or even $99 during the holiday season, the PaperWhite is in my opinion the best reader for the money right now.

I agree with that. I'm keeping my Voyage, but out of the two, the Paperwhite is the best bang for the buck, if money is no object, get the Voyage, but strictly speaking, it's not worth the difference in price. The Voyage is priced about 50 bucks too high for what it delivers.

They do for me; it's very much a personal judgement that everyone has to make for themselves. I'd buy another Voyage without hesitation.
