Seeker of Stars: A Novel by Susan Fish is her festive biblical historical fiction novel based on the imagined life of Melchior, one of the Three Wise Men who visited the baby Jesus (and presumably did not make him cry, as so many people are said to do so nowadays), free courtesy of Christian publisher David C. Cook.

This has previously been offered free in 2013.

Currently free, probably just for the next couple of days @ B&N (may also drop in the UK after a day or so), Amazon UK (slated to drop in the main store after midnight Pacific Time), iTunes (available to Canadians), and also ChristianBook (DRM-Free ePub available to selected countries) & BookShout (available for online reading & app download), and possibly several other stores linked in the publisher's catalogue page.

Normally DCC ebooks are also free @ & Google Play, but this one is either slow to drop (sometimes they show up after a day), or simply not free for Canadians, though it may be in your region.
