Poweroff screens

Hello, the default power off message of KSM (Kobo Start Menu) is pretty ugly but provides nice informations about how to change the power off screen.

So i thought a thread to collect some configs might be nice.

So here my config:

I wonder if it could be possible to have a poweroff screen randomly chosen among a dozen of images (kobo touch). I have no knowledge of html, if it's not already clear.

You can't do that with HTML. But you could invoke a script with cron that renames images, so the HTML would always use the image "screenoff.png" and the script copies or renames a selection of images randomly to that name.

The script should, for example, delete the old "screenoff.png" and them make a copy of a ramdom picture with the name "screenoff.png", don't you?

I tried to put together something of that kind and uploaded it here.

Think that KSM is not the reader application so no actual reading book, but... may be... what if KSM could show alternatively the actual book on koreader, cool reader and nickel with some words like "Now on (reader name)".
Would be COOOOOL

The pixel size is not so important. Preferably, the ratio should be similar to that of the screen. Currently the result is not very nice (for instance, there is a application title bar on the top). I guess in the next version of KSM this might improve.

keepigf track which reading application was run at last
getting the information which book was read with that application
getting the cover that book

If the last running application was, for instance nickel, one would have to read the data base in order to find the last read book and the associated cover image. With the tools that are currently available to KSM one would also have to copy and rename the image file (or maybe work with symbolic links), before displaying it. The whole process seems to be rather time consuming. I personally would prefer the power off process to be rather short.
