Possible bug report - adding books using opf files

Kovid, in the changelog for 2.11 I have learned that:

When I Drag & Drop an opf file in 2.11, it "incorrectly adds OPF file as an extra format", so I end up with two opf files in the Calibre book folder. One is metadata.opf, the other is the file I dragged & dropped in.

I am using Calibre under the Mint Linux Quiana (built on Ubuntu).

If you add an OPF manually, either via drag and drop or via the file dialog, it will get added, that is not a bug. Manual adding allows you to add *any* file type, including OPF.

The bug is when using adding books recursively, calibre is supposed to pick up only files that are known book formats, and OPF is not a book format.
