Search for a keyword within all ebooks on hard drive and
Is there an OSX app that will search within the content of all ebooks (pdf, mobi, epub) on a hard drive for a keyword or phrase and then list books it occurs in most. A Calibre plug-in, would be ok, but I'm really looking for a whole hard drive search. I'm thinking like Deep view in in the Marvin app where it has a top-down list like:

Quality Check PI can search, but EPUBs only.
There is Recoll Full Text Search which searches all ebooks (except I cannot see anything about a MOBI filter on the recoll website...). It claims to be linux-only, but recoll should run on OSX as well (according to the recoll website), so, possibly with a little tweaking, should work. Spotlight should index EPUB and MOBI natively. Mmmm, that is probably something you could build with AppleScript.
You can do multiple Spotlight searches (within the script) and then have the data written to a text file. |

That's a good point, I'd just have to find someone to do the job. If there is a more ready-made and non-calibre solution, I'm still listening. Cheers

No progress on this issue, I presume? I'm on OS X Mavericks, and spotlight does not index the contents of .mobi files, (nor of .azw files).
