How do I get public library books (before Sony) to Kobo?

As a sony ereader user, I used to borrow books from library. Now I switched to my Kobo, I downloaded the library book to my Adobe Digital Editions 4.0. I managed to get the book on my Kobo reader, however if I click on it it gives me a message; Oops, this document can't be opened......please sig in with authorized adobe id. I did authorize it on my computer, but somehow I missed a step, I think. Anyone can help me? If all fails.....maybe just a Kindle for me?

I'll leave it to those with a lot more knowledge than me to answer your actual question, but since you're in Canada Kindle won't work for library books (unless something has changed recently).

I hardly ever use public library ePubs (almost always pick Kindle format because it's easier) but I believe you have to "add" your device to ADE. Then your Kobo should show up in an ADE panel and you just move the ePub book over to it (kind of like you do in Calibre).

That said, the way Sony did it was really nice. I just borrowed an ePub on my T2 a couple days ago -- no computer needed at all.

Apparently Adobe had a bug with ADE 4.0 that was causing this (not a Kobo issue). There is an updated version of ADE that should solve this without downgrading to an older version for anyone else that comes across this issue.
