epub to pdf conversion problem

Hello,

I have an epub that I am trying to convert to pdf. Calibre does the job, but the pdf that is outputs has text that is huge. A book that would only be 30 pages is over 100 pages because the font is huge. Is there a way to easily control the output pdf?

Why I open the epub is calibre book viewer and print it out right from there, it looks great, but I have a friend who doesn't use e-readers and would like a pdf to print out.

Ok, so after messing around I see how to adjust the font conversion size.
What I don't see is how to set the margins on the converted PDF. It is right up to the edge so that if someone tried to put it in a 3 hold binder, they would be punching holes right through text. Also, it defaults to having the converted text the same size as a typical e-reader. I have to print at 180% to get the desired result. Is there a way to do this during conversion rather than relying on people knowing how to do this on the final user end?

Look under Page Layout in the conversion dialog.
