Kindle Voyage bright spots

Unable to wait until Christmas for delivery from Amazon I bought a Voyage from Argos. As soon as I switched it on I noticed a bright spot near the bottom of the screen. I took it back straight away. It was the only one in stock so I went to a more distant Argos and asked them to open one for me as I didn't want to put another payment on my card and have to wait for another refund to go through. They didn't want to open one for me because they are sealed but they eventually did. It was exactly the same. I didn't take it, much to the shop's disgust. Am I being too fussy? The bright specks were quite tiny. Have I been reading too much about imperfect screens and am now looking for trouble?

I personally don't think you are being too picky, it's not a cheap device. It really just depends on if you feel you can read on it comfortably and enjoy it. If you feel you can, and feel you are getting your money's worth, then by all means you should get one.

You're not being picky, its a 169 quid, it should meet your expectations. I'm taking one back to Argos later, bought is as a gift, screen totally uneven. Cold light to warm. No way am I buying another one.

I noticed a very small lighter patch last night, it's in the middle of the screen and luckily it's only noticeable if I have a chapter that finishes with only a few rows on the page. It's not a bright patch, just a slightly lighter hole, it's very tiny. Obviously small enough to be completely hidden by the text.

It's not even noticable on the home screen as it's covered by the top right cover. I guess I'm lucky.
