Compton, W. David: Where No Man Has Gone Before (abridged), v1, 13 June 2008

mrmikel has created a complete version of this book for the Sony Reader, and is looking to create a mobi version.

Inspired by his upload, I have created an abridged version for eBookwise (imp) from the html files on the NASA site

http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/Hi.../contents.html

Unlike mrmikel's version, mine does not include the bibliographical source footnotes. It also does not include a couple of tables dealing with the lat. and long. of various moon landings. Additionally, it does not include the appendices dealing with the organizational charts of the various NASA offices.

It does include the full text, and the text footnotes.

If you want the real scholarly deal, I suggest mrmikel's editions. I made this version for myself and those with IMP readers. I think it flows a little more easily, but is not intended for those who want the unadulterated version!

I have the same abridged version for LRF and mobi, if anyone would like these versions, let me know.

Again, thanks to mrmikel for this fascinating find of NASA's history.
