CentOS 6.6

I am running:

ebook-convert programmers-guide/_output/html/ProgrammersGuide.epub programmers-guide/_output/html/ProgrammersGuide.pdf

and getting:

Make sure you are running the latest version of calibre downloaded from http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux

DO NOT depend on your distro-provided calibre, it is most likely out of date (and sometimes by years).

Report back if you still get the error.

That error means you are missing modern versions of some needed libraries,most likely libstdc++ see the calibre linux download page for library requirements.
