Does sigil allow static images with flowing text

Hi to all, I would be most grateful if someone could explain to me the limitations of Sigil (if it is actually limited, other than user skills).

Does sigil allow static images with flowing text - i.e. can the text be "enlarged" on the E-Reader and the images remain static, with the text flowing off the screen?

I hope that my query is correctly worded.

Thanks in advance for any persons's time.

That has nothing to do with Sigil, but is standard for ePUB. As long as you define your font-size as relative measures (e.g. 1em) in your stylesheet, you can resize your font without problems (if your reading application supports it, some are overruling your stylesheet).
Images will remain the size you define them.

Thank you Toxaris, I am HTML and CSS proficient; however, ePub is new to me. It all seems quite straightforward, but your confirmation has just realigned me with the obvious. Much appreciated.

You're welcome. Keep in mind that not all CSS selectors are supported in normal ePUB. In ePUB2 (the common version), CSS 2.1 is supported, with @font-face.
