One more: Turn off screen, while using TTS

When I use the "Text To Speech" function, how do I turn off the screen to save battery?

This would have to be a feature of the app itself, I believe. Which app are you using TTS in?

I checked the manual of ezPDF and it does not mention anything about it, which I found strange, as it would be a stupid waste of battery usage.

Maybe there is something in the android software itsself, which I just seem not to be able to find? I am pretty new to this....

An app can keep the screen awake if it wants to. This makes sense in a reading app, but not when you are using tts. Well behaved apps usually give you an option to enable or disable. I don't use ezpdf so I don't know if it does or not. If you can't find anything in options, you should contact the dev.

Hello

In ezPDF activate the reading of your text using text to speech (options / voice-reading).
Next, press the power button of your android device - the screen will turn off and the sound will continue to play.

Best regards,
