How Can I Create A Keyboard Shortcut To Toggle Search Highlighting on/off?

Is there a reason why the Search Highlighting tends to turn itself off? I'm clearly not doing it. I'd love to be able to create a keyboard shortcut to toggle it on and off. Please and thank you.

You can make the Blue Bars button (toggles that display mode) show again.
Preferences: Searching: (Tick) Show Quick Toggle

Yup, did that a long time ago, but I don't want to use the mouse to click the quick toggle button, I want to do it with the keyboard?

You might file a Bug Report (feature request)

I never use that mode, I have the button show because I use a PI that sometimes leaves it in the wrong state.

BTW... what plug-in are you using that managed to change the status? Perhaps that's what doing it to me also.

@copywrite - its the Find Duplicates PI, see ==>> Search results highlighted

I avoid the 'problem' by doing a Clear duplicate results when I've finished resolving duplicates - I get a lot of false duplicates, so for me doing that is a logical last step.
