Transfer epub annotations

I am currently using a Nook Simple Touch and want to upgrade to a Kobo Aura.

Some of the books I have on the NST, and want to transfer to the KA, have annotations and notes.

Is there a way to transfer those books with their annotations and notes between the two devices?

The short answer is no.

The long answer is not easily. It depends on how the NST stores the annotations. Do you know this?
