Calibre 25 on Windows Server 2003, why not?

This is the first update that fails to install. I can't imagine a dependency that isn't available... is it just a switch in the installer that is blocking me? Any way to work around this?

@TLCary - Windows Server is a variant of Windows XP, support for all XP (and variants) was withdrawn in 2.1

Release: 2.1 [29 Aug, 2014] - New Features

Prevent calibre from installing or running on Windows XP as there have been many reports of Qt 5 crashing on Windows XP and Windows XP is now no longer supported by Microsoft. If you are on Windows XP, please stay with calibre 1.48 until you are ready to upgrade your windows. Apologies for the inconvenience.
The primary issue is not that MS no longer supports XP, it's that Qt5 has problems on XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows POS and other XP variants, some of which are supported by MS. POS will supported until 2019! Would you run calibre on a cash register - if you were a 2nd hand book store you might

The workaround is to run from source and remove the code that blocks XP. See Calibre 2.0 Crashing at start up
