Clipboard Magic fails under Calibre 2.0

I use the utility Clipboard Magic extensively, and it works fine with Calibre prior to 2.0 but fails with 2.0 and above. I have back leveled to 1.48 as a test and CM started working again. Calibre 2.0.4 killed it again.

This is under W7 Professional 64 bit. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like Clipboard Magic doesn't work with Qt5.

@Hawkeye6 - given that you're using Windows you have the possibility of seeking an alternative to Clipboard Magic. If you search for 'clipboard manager windows 7' you'll find there are literally dozens of them.

I use Clipboard Fusion and the one that comes with Shelltoys, I think some other calibre users use Phrase Express, and I think I've seen reference to Ditto. I've had no problems with the ones I use.

I appreciate how its hard to change a 'but I use it everywhere' gadget. I've had to do it a couple of times myself, although not due to calibre. Now, one of the things I look for in gadgets is the ability to exclude other programs from their operations.

I have tried Ditto and don't like it. I guess I will just need to keep looking if these two will no longer work together. Calibre is, of course, the priority program.

Meanwhile I will contact Clipboard Magic and ask them to include QT5 in the next update if possible.

IMO the 'blame' probably lies with Digia, it would appear that they changed Qt's clipboard handling between versions 4 & 5.
