Selecting multiple rows in Calibre
I don't know if this is just me or a program issue. I was using version 1.35 & used to be able to select a row in Calibre & then press the "shift" key & select another row & all the rows in between would be selected. I could then check for isbn #'s or whatever. I recently upgraded to version 2.2.0 & that functionality disappeared. I uninstalled it & went to version 1.48.0 & I still can't select multiple rows. Is it me? I haven't tried going back to 1.35 yet because I wanted to check & see if there is something else I might have messed up that would explain this. Thanks!

1.35 is OLDish
But multi-select still works on XP Select the first (1 click) hold the shift and click the ending row |

Multi-select is working fine with 2.2.0 and Windows 7.
Click 1st item Either shift-click last OR ctrl-click additional items to select. |

Still works...kinda
The behavior has seemed to change in 2.x. I had the same problem then I noticed that if I shift-click the end point on a column in the line not the count number, it still works. example: if I click the number 1 in the first line, it highlights the line then if I go to line 8 and shift-click the number 8, it fails but if I shift-click the title on line 8 it works. Also I have noticed that when you click the number column, it does not highlight the line but does select the line.

I'd prefer to continue being able to select multiple lines by clicking on the line number but from what I understand this is a QT5 issue and not something Kovid deliberately changed. |
