Free (Kindle) Questioning Evangelism [Christian Convert DIY Faith-Sharing How-To]
Questioning Evangelism: Engaging People's Hearts the Way Jesus Did by Randy Newman (presumably no relation to the namesake Pixar Toy Story film composer) is a self-help advice book for the DIY proselytizer from a formerly-Jewish convert, meant to give you tips on a kinder, gentler approach to sharing your religious faith with those who don't share it, free courtesy of Christian publisher Kregel.
Currently free, probably just for the next day @ Amazon UK (slated to drop in the main store after midnight) ETA: also free this time around @ B&N (also UK) & Google Play (available to Canadians). Description A much-needed look at sharing Christ with unbelievers, based not on the techniques of guerrilla hard-sell tactics, but on engaging questions and caring interaction. Filled with humor and stories, this book provides a challenging yet encouraging look at evangelism in our world today. This volume argues that asking questions and starting meaningful conversations is a far better method for sharing faith than prepared lectures or statements. It gives advice on what people need to hear in response to the world around them.

Sorry, I usually mean after midnight Pacific Time when I write that, since Amazon's US headquarters are located in Seattle and the prices usually change a little after 12:30 AM in my time zone.

Here in the midwest it's down to $0.00 at the present though how long it will stay that way is anyone's guess.

Kregel freebies typically last for just 1 day (so UK people will have until 12 AM GMT to get it, and anyone who can get it via the main Amazon store until 12:30 Pacific Time, usually), and the other Christian publishers tend to have definite patterns.
Baker are also generally 1-day, though sometimes they add a new title to their long-term stable of almost-permafreebies. David C. Cook are usually 2 days, though sometimes they extend it to a week. Tyndale House is trickier; they use to give us 2-4 month-long freebies on rotation, but now their books seem to pop up at irregular intervals, and last anywhere from more than 2 weeks to less than 1, so it can be kind of hard to figure out how to prioritize them. But we generally get at least a few days to grab those, and the occasional freebies which sporadically pop up from the other smaller Christian imprints. |
