EPUB to MOBI conversion successful, can not send to Kindle

I have written a tiny/test EPUB book in Calibre, which I've converted to MOBI.

I can open/read the MOBI file on my computer's Kindle reader.

But... for some odd reason, when I try to email the MOBI file to my iPad's Kindle reader ... I keep getting "can not convert" error messages from AMZN.

(I have confirmed that I'm using the correct email name by sending other files to my iPad's Kindle. PDF, DOC files work just fine.)

Does anyone have an idea what might be going on? I have an open ticket w/AMZN, but so far ... no answer.

I've attached the associated epub, mobi, & conversion log file.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

My setup:
- Calibre is running on my iMac (OS X 10.9.4)
- The iMac is running Kindle reader 1.10.6 (where the MOBI file works)
- My iPad is brand new & I just downloaded the Kindle app, so I assume that the software is current.

The easiest suggestion is to not bother to convert for the iPad and just use either Marvin or Bluefire and send the ePub as is to the app you've chosen to use.

Amazon does not allow email delivery of new style MOBI files. You can only send old style MOBI files. Look in the mobi output section of the conversion dialog.
