Hello. I might be wrong about this... but i have noticed that KT is no longer displaying correctly the non-breaking space. The non-breaking space is there, in the source file, but on my reader, and even on the Calibre reader, it behaves like a normal space.
About six months ago i am pretty sure that this was not the case. Now i use the latest version of Atlantis, the latest version of Calibre, and the latest version of KT firmware. Could someone try my mobi files on their reader and see if they get it right? Or maybe check the files? I have atached the 2 mobi files produced by me, and the original source. (Samples) The Calibre mobi file was produced with the default settings from an html filtered file. Thank you. |

What are you expecting it to do? It is supposed to act like a space in text.

In word processing and digital typesetting, a non-breaking space (" "), also known as a no-break space or non-breakable space (NBSP), is a variant of the space character that prevents an automatic line break (line wrap) at its position.
![]() It keeps the EmDash "glued" to the first word. Last edited by utilitasetverita; 09-04-2014 at 04:05 PM. |

Haven't actually checked the file, but if you used Calibre w/ default settings, that's an M7 mobi, try to convert it as a KF8 AZW3, see if it helps.
That said, OTOH, I don't know if the KF8 renderer actually honors nbsp, so it may be a shot in the dark. |

Ok, i tried filttered htm > Calibre > azw3 with default settings. Here is the result:
![]() So no good for me. From now on i will use only narow non-breaking space: ![]() The emdash and the first word in the dialogue must stay together, at a fixed width. Thank you for your help. Last edited by utilitasetverita; 09-05-2014 at 01:51 PM. |
