If I Were You by science fiction writer turned cult-leader L. Ron Hubbard (ISFDB, Wikipedia) is a vintage pulp adventure thriller, apparently starring an ex-circus dwarf, free courtesy of publisher Galaxy Press, who are not at all interested in promoting his Scientology teachings which you just might happen to stumble into if you keep reading his work.

This is a repeat from several years ago.

I especially like how it tries to fit itself under so many subcategories in the Amazon listing. Why, just looking at it I can see:

Intermediate Readers, Thrillers, Adventure Stories & Action, Historical (from the perspective of now, I suppose), Contemporary (for the time, I guess), Urban (ye olde visit to the big city), Fantasy (maybe there's some wish-fulfillment involved?), Historical Romance (well, if he gets the girl back then), Romantic Suspense (if there's peril involving the girl), Women Writers & Fiction (?!?!?)

Clearly it's a topping. And a floor wax!

Anyway, currently free, possibly for the entire month @ Amazon UK (probably slated to drop in the main store, as these things usually do).

There's also two more repeats which you can check for in the main store & UK, but they were free throughout August and thus might be expiring soon, whereas this one showed up "new" when I checked.
