Forged in Death by Jim Melvin is the 1st in his The Death Wizard Chronicles epic heroic fantasy quest saga set in a classic evil-dominated world filled with minions and demons (some of them probably demon minions), free courtesy of Southern specialty publisher Bell Bridge Books.

We've previously received a free prequel short story in this universe which is still available: Torg's First Death

Sometime last year, a 2nd prequel short also became free in multiple venues: The Black Fortress @ B&N (also UK), Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK) and Kobo (available to Canadians, weirdly filed under "Romance" where its rank† is #112842). ETA: now also iTunes & Google Play (both available to Canadians).

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians and in the UK). ETA: and also Google Play, as koland points out downthread. ETA 2: now also propagated to B&N (also UK).

If it turns out you like this, the next few books in the series are currently priced at just $2.00 (from a Canadian perspective) @ Amazon (£1.22 each in the UK).

NB: I originally thought this might have been a YA series, but one of the reviews for book #4 (of the planned 6) says that there is plenty of action and sex in it.

Cool, thanks for checking. ⅔ of the Google Play updates you found were also free in Canada now that they've expanded their empire into our territory.

Of course, now this means I have yet another store to remember to check in before posting from now on.
