Drag and Drop not working anymore

I have always used drag and drop to add books (epub) to calibre from the download folder of my Mac. Since a few days ago when I added a book using the menu (add book, then navigate to the folder where the book was) I can only do that way. If I try drag and drop I get a "no access" road sign.
Can it be because I am now on Yosemite (Mac OS 10.10) - and Calibre 1.48?

I checked and I have read/write privileges on both the folder where the pub is and the calibre library folder.

Anyone else with this problem?
