I couldn't help noticing the headline.
Writers unite in campaign against 'thuggish' Amazon If the Guardian isn't careful they might be the next to make news when Amazon sues them for libel.

They put 'thuggish' in quotes to protect themselves and show it was Douglas Preston that should be sued for libel (if desired).

The problem is that if Amazon gives in, Hatchette will be able to go back to agency pricing which is not good the consumers. So as one of those consumers, I'm all for Hatchette losing this battle.
