Font weirdness in footer
Can anyone try the Heuristica font with firmware version 3.5.0?

With sideloaded epubs and a patched firmware, I'm seeing the "of" in the "Page %1 of %2" footer in bold and italic. In the body of the book italics appear correctly non-bold.

Which font is the footer using? The footer font is chosen from one of these options:

If you have changed the footer patch to use a specific font, then that is always used.

Otherwise, if you have "Document Default" selected then the built-in Gothic font is used (and the built-in Gothic font has various problems with italic and bold in the current firmware).

Otherwise, the font you have selected from the device should be used.

Edit: On my Glo I set the footer and header patches to use the built-in Avenir font, which avoids problems with the built-in Gothic font.

Edit2: The rules for the footer font may be different on the Touch and Mini, or it might be that the problems with Gothic only appear on the other models.

I had a custom footer style, but with no specific font, so that the selected font is used.

With "Minion Pro" or "Vollkorn" selected, the footer displays correctly in those fonts. With "Heuristica" selected, "of" displays in bold.

Now I've changed the patch to always use "Georgia" for the footer, but I've also created my own patch to have simply "%1/%2" in the footer, so now there's no "of" or italics.
