How to add ebooks of only one format

In Calibre, is there a way to do an "Add books from directory", but only process selected (or one) format?

If I have a directory with both EPUB and MOBI files, I don't want to convert MOBI files to my default format (EPUB), I just want the Add to skip books that aren't EPUBs. I can't see a way of doing this.

I know that in the "Automatic Add" I can specify file extensions to ignore, but it looks like Auto add doesn't support sub-directories.

Am I missing something?

You could do what I did a long time ago to import from each of the Baen CD's

At the command prompt in the root (base) of the folder tree

Code:

xcopy /s *.epub  c:\temp\work

Adjust the green parts to fit
when done, discard work
