Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was a British Author, born in India, and worldwide famous for works like "The Jungle Book", "Kim" or the poem "If". He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1907, which made him the first English language writer to get it.

"The Jungle Book" is a collection of 7 short stories and poems first published in 1893-4. Further stories were published in "The Second Jungle Book". Some of the stories deal with the wolf-child Mowgli, most involve animals and are set in India, but there are also a couple of them which look completely unrelated. This edition is illustrated by J. L. Kipling (the author's father), W. H. Drake and P. Frenzeny, including drop caps. All feedback is welcome. Ah, lovely. Thank you so much for these wonderful Jungle Books. I loved these when I was a child, and always wanted a Bagheera of my own -- I think that led to my life-long love of black cats.

Love your contrasty illustrations. They work really well on the grey of eink screens.
