T68 Book organizing question

Is there any possible way to have shelves or a similar thing to organize groups of books on the T68?

You might want to check out Calibre Companion. IMO this is the best method for having a library on an Android device.

Otherwise you can always organize them in folders and use a file browser. If one doesn't come pre-installed check out ES File explorer or Astro.

Calibre Companion is definitely the way to go for this, I agree.

If you're already using Calibre, Calibre Companion is the way to go.

Just because I love alternatives and choices, if someone was planning on managing everything solely on their device, with no desktop computer, perhaps starting out with a few books; Mantano reader offers reader, bookstores, management, tags, sorting, categories etc.

Eric's said in another post that he uses Calibre, hence the suggestion to use CC.

And even if he doesn't want to use Calibre Companion, the file-browser work very well, too (the one on Booxtor's version does, at least); it shows the cover-art, and the directory-structure is easily set up via Calibre.

Yes, it does work well, I agree. The real benefit of using CC is if you have a large library, because it allows you to browse and search it in many different ways - by author, title, series, language, genre, or anything else you want.

Perhaps I'll give CC a try one of these days.

Alright, thanks for the suggestions. I downloaded the Calibre Companion. Is there any other way to get my books into it, since my books are already on my e-reader from the sd-card, and I don't have enough memory from my device to add my library all over again.

Tell CC the name of the folder where your book are (in the "Formats and folders" setting), and make sure the "Scan on connect" option is checked in CC's settings. When you wirelessly connect to Calibre it will then scan the folder to find what books you have, and retrieve the metadata for them wirelessly from Calibre. After it's finished the initial data retrieval (which will take a while for a large library), go into Settings again and uncheck the "Scan on connect" box.

Thanks, just wondering am I going to have to delete my whole library from my SD card to get this work properly in getting it to read my books from the desktop software?

Provided they're all stored under one root folder, and you put them there with Calibre (which I think you said you did in an earlier post), then no, you should have to delete them.
