Sign Language plug in

Hello all,
I'm new here so I hope I'm doing this right. I'm looking to add a plug in to calibre that will allow users (mostly deaf children) to highlight a word in an ebook and call a video from our database of sign language videos. We have a javascript version that works in chrome and firefox ( https://greasyfork.org/scripts/2888-...-trigger/codec) and want to add this functionality to Calibre. I'm a novice programmer. Any suggestions are very welcome.

Is it possible for a youtube video to be displayed in Calibre?. We'd like to allow the reader to highlight a word on a page and then call a video from our database of YouTube sign language videos and have the video display either in Calibre or outside it

Add an entry to the right click menu in your plugin to do just that. See how the existing entry for the looking up the word in google works
