saving books - always open on title cover page
Hi,
I have calibre on my main win7 computer, I recently acquired 2000 ebooks from a friend I have set up a new installation of calibre on a secondary computer to sort and edit the metadata and perfect the books before moving them into my main calibre library on my main computer. I am editing and then polishing the new books (embedding the new cover and metadata) and then saving the epub files to my main computer and then just adding the new epub file into the calibre library on my main computer. (not the cover or opf file) When I open the new epub book in my main calibre library on my main computer, the book is not opening up on the title page, but it seems that it opens it at whatever page I left off on the other computer..... I dont understand why this is happening, is there a way to force calibre to always open on the title cover page, or how do I solve this from happening ? |

Sounds like you have calibre set to remember your place in the book. Open the viewer, go to preferences>miscellaneous options and untick *Remember the current page when quitting*.
If you want to remove bookmarks already set to epubs, you can do that with the Modify epub plugin. |

ooh my goodness, thank you so much - that was it. I thought I was going to have to open 2000 books, go the the cover page and then resave them. Thank you !
