The Novel Cure. Your suggestions.
"The Novel Cure" is a book which recommends novels for various ailments and life hassles. I was just looking through the Kindle sample on Amazon when I came across the issue:
"age gap between lovers" The author of this book recommends "A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian" by Marina Lewycka. My immediate thought was Tom Sharpe's "The Great Pursuit" which I'm reading in a tatty old paperback at the moment. What books would you recommend for certain ailments and issues? Abandonment: Robinson Crusoe Bad temper: Wuthering Heights Ageing, horror of: Picture of Dorian Grey Fear of ghosts: The Canterville Ghost Any others? My goodness, our dear Resident Curmudgeon. I believe you have a sad case of Outlander Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Perhaps the book club should issue a warning of the possibility of such dangers when a book is selected.

In case you didn't know, Outlander is coming to BBC America as a mini-series. I may give it a try to see if it's any better then the book.
