Sleep mode and Light 3.3.0

Aura HD brand new, just upgraded itself to 3.3.0

If I have the light on it, and flick the switch for sleep mode, the screen changes to the cover picture and says 'sleep mode' but the light is still on, with no way to turn off the light whilst it's sleeping (other than waking and turning the light off, then putting it back to sleep).

My Glo would turn off the light before going to sleep mode.

Am I doing something wrong, or bug?

Sounds like a bug, my 3.3.0 Aura HD turns the light out when sleeping using both power button and sleep cover. I don't have it set to display covers though.

Sorry I don't have a solution to the problem, but as to whether or not it is caused by a bug: my Glo is set to display covers in sleep mode and I didn't have any problem with the light not turning off with firmware 3.3.0 or any other firmware, so I don't think it can be a bug.

Thanks, I'll do some more testing see if I can work out what causes it

Are your books on a micro SD card? There were some issues with the device forgetting the reading position and other settings in sleep mode, but it only happened when using the card. I didn't hear about anything to do with the light though, and I thought it had been fixed before 3.3.0.

Hmmm... Aura HD, was on 3.3.0 (since moved to 3.3.1 and 3.4.1) with uSD card. The light takes a couple of seconds to turn off when going to sleep but the light does go out. A few firmware versions back, I had an issue where if the ereader was plugged into a power source and I put it to sleep, the light wouldn't go out.

Regards,
David
