Firmware update
Probably screw up.

I tried to update a kindle 3 firmware. so I had to copy bin files to kindle and update. the version was 3.0.2, so I had to upgrade to 3.1 first,then 3.3 then 3.4.but Problem is I download wrong version of bin file for 3.3. 3.1 and 3.4 bin files are correct. When I found out after I upgraded to 3.3, I tried to do factory reset, but it still show 3.3 and then I upgrade to 3.4, no error message for now. Do I need downgrad to 3.0.2 and upgrade again? if so, how to downgrade?

You can't install the "wrong" firmware on a Kindle - if the firmware is for a different device, it simply won't install. What makes you believe that the firmware you installed is incorrect?

Because mine is 3g+wifi(b006), but for 3.3, I download version for B00A(European) it is still 3G+wifi,but not the version for my kindle(north america)

The only difference between the two firmware versions is the format that dates are displayed in (mm/dd/yy vs. dd/mm/yy). There's no difference in functionality, and you can install either version on either device.

Thanks! I upgrade from 3.3(wrong version) to 3.4(right version),so i guess it will show north american format .

The updater will not let you install an update file (be it a firmware update or anything, really) that doesn't exactly match your device, so you really can't do anything wrong .
