I don't often use my Nook Simple Touch anymore but today I hooked it up to my computer running Linux Mint 17. I have the latest calibre 1.40.
My computer sees the nook fine. I can copy files to it without problem. calibre gives me an error every time "Error communicating with device" Quote:

You have a a very deeply nested folder structure on your Nook that python's stdlib cannot handle.
