kindlegen cmd line options

kindlegen and kindle previewer apparently store a copy of the source file in the mobi file making the file larger than necessary for reading.

Some where I've seen a command line option to turn off the saving the source file, making the smallest mobi file possible.

Woiuld someone please refresh my memory?

Thanks

Of course, you can do what I do. After generating the combined file, I just put that into Calibre and use Kindleunpack to split the files into KF8 & Mobi. Then you can replace the combined file in Calibre with the version you want to read and same even more space.

Is there somewhere a list of all options, e.g. generate either mobi or kf8?

KindleGen does not have that option. There is a list in the wiki by studying the binary.
