Please help me with regular expression :help:

Hello!

I imported a huge amount ebooks to Calibre, reading files metadata.

It happens that a few dozen thousands, had the metadata name wrong!

The most common error is this:

Coben, Harlan - Myron 01 (Field Authors)

I can easily set Authors from Author Sort in bulk with the great plugin "Check Quality", but I need to remove " - Myron 01" first (it is the series)

Could anyone please tell me how to make a search and replace to get rid from [space dash space] till the end of field?

Thank you very much in advance, I am sorry, but I do not know regular expressions, no matter how hard I am trying to learn.

REGEX mode ONLY FOR those with the stated problem

Code:

(.+) - (.+)

the last is space dash space openparen dot pluscloseparen

replace is \1

This should verify in the S&R test area
