KindleButler - MOBI/AZW3/AZW uploader

Hi,

My endless laziness created a new tool. I made it for myself to push KCC output over Wi-Fi to my new Paperwhite. But maybe somebody will also consider this tool useful.

I don't see a reason why I should paste my README here so I just direct all interested to project page on GitHub

How about that "sea of errors" you mentioned earlier?
Is this the same thing?
Or was that just a "drop in the bucket"?

Sea of errors turned out to be only a small puddle.

Version 0.2 is out.

Completely rewritten GUI and added file queuing.

Hmm.. it works perfectly, thank you.
However, progress window doesn't close on end, need to close it manually.
Is there way to fix this?
Windows 8.1 x64, Python 3.4.3 64 bit, PyQt5.4.

It don't close by design. Otherwise in most of the cases it would dissapear almost immediately.

That's unfortunate. I'd like to apply this to multiple files (loop in batch file) and sitting at the box clicking all the way until the end is not very convenient...

Strange. It should reuse one KindleButler instance.

No luck.
Placed two sequential calls inside the batch file:
Code:
py -3.4 KindleButler.py "%~dp0one.azw3"
py -3.4 KindleButler.py "%~dp0two.azw3"
First call proceeds and completes, message window sits onscreen and does nothing. Force closing window, getting new window with truncated message "Used by another process".

Well, placing each call into separate batch, running first batch and while progress bar running starting second batch. Getting encouraging message Queue:1... and everything terminates with infamous "Used by another process".

How correctly fill a queue of input files?

Strange things started happen on my Windows 7 64 bit box: Anytime I run kindlebutler.py getting Used by another process.
Tried installed compiled version. Used popup menu Open with..., selected kindlebutler.exe. Tried multiple times - always Used by another process. All of a sudden one attempt succeeded, progress bar started. In a hurry I started another file, it joined the queue, started and completed.
Sadly, that occured only once. Now all attempts return Used by another process.
Looks as success is statistical...
It would be nice to have a desktop shortcut to be able to drag and drop the group of files on it...actually, I did it but no luck again, group even didn't start.

Try disabling your AV for a while. Or other software that might place a lock on AZW3 file.

No way to do this at work machine... will try at home.
However, my guess is that lock is on some temp file in user\AppData\Local\Temp.
Unfortunately, message doesn't fit into the small wiindow and path to file is extra long.
