PW doesn't sort by "author-sort"

Hello,

Hope this wasn't answered here before because I've been looking for answers with no luck.

I have this weird problem, I decided to format my PW and start all over again. I started with editing books, etc. And here's the problem, PW doesn't sort by "authort-sort" from Calibre. I never had this problem before and all my old files worked just fine.

Could someone look or try to use my two books to see how they will be sorted on your device?

One is Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice (here "author-sort" doesn't work)
And one is Dostoyevsky - Notes... (here "author-sort" works)

I always copy books to PW manually and in the past year never this problem.

Solved.

For some reason, to me completely mysterious, after installing new version of Calibre, default setting in Preferences -> Output Options -> Use author sort for author wasn't selected. Previously it must have been set by default because I had never changed anything in Preferences.

Perhaps your books were newly imported? calibre recently added code to properly import mobi7/8 authors by swapping them around. Any books added after then would no longer be imported as LN, FN -- now that the author field is properly created, it needs to be swapped when going on the Kindle.

A very tiny set of folk seem to get hit with a random lost setting on certain upgrades (I suspect this is when a new setable feature is added to calibre since it is so infrequent)

If it was not set by default then I'm really clueless how it is possible it worked back then. However, it works now and that's all that matter.
