Embedding OPF meta-data for iBooks in Calibre
Is there a way how specific meta-data can be injected into the OPF file directly under Calibre?
I'm building my eBooks with Calibre and it would be great if I could embed the EPUB3 meta properties that Apple is using these days to control the reading experience directly in Calibre. I can't seem to find a way, though. Am I missing something? |

Thanks, JLuis, but unfortunately that conversation does not explain how to do this in Calibre. I know that I need the meta parameters and I know that they need to go into the OPF file, what I don't know is if Calibre allows easy access to do that that will not require me to unbundle me Calibre-created EPUB file and edit the OPF file by hand.

Use Sigil or one of the other DC Metadata tools (IIRC there is one mentioned in EPUB) |

Right click the book, choose edit book, double click the opf file on the left, make your changes, click save, you are done.

@Guido Henkel - you could also Unpack the Book (select and Press 'U') and change the content.opf using your regular text editor, then repack the book.
Tad faster than the Book Editor and very little learning curve. With calibre there's almost always more than one way to get something done. BR |
