Another Series question

I purchased an omnibus of the first 3 books in a series and then purchased the 4th book. Short of editing the omnibus and (re-) creating the original 3 books, is there any way to indicate that I have all the books (so far) in this series?

Not a great solution, but what I do if it's one I don't want to bother splitting (or don't have time to) is number the omnibus in your example as book 1.23 (for books 1, 2 & 3).

I decided to add empty entries into Calibre for each of the books. That allowed me to import metadata about each volume in the omnibus. I added a personal comment at the very top indicating that the text is part of the omnibus. Wish there were some way to provide a hyperlink to the catalog entry for the omnibus edition.

Then I assigned the omnibus a series entry number of '99'.

I created empty books too. Also I'm using custom column 'In' and show it in Book Details panel.
Sometimes rarely I have separate novel in addition of the omnibus and want to keep it; or in many cases short story in several anthologies.
Next easy step is to search 'title:anthology x' if I want to read it.

You could create a hyperlink in Comments to the omnibus format file or book folder - but not to the calibre database entry (catalogue) itself.
