Update metada of several books at time

Sorry for my english.

It's posible to select several books, and update the books with the metadata incorpored in the books, all together?

@kreti - theducks has told you how to download metadata from amazon, google etc for multiple books

But if you mean update the library with the metadata that is already embedded (incorporated) within existing ebook format files, then I don't think you can do it in bulk

See attachment for doing that in a single book - select a format, click the blue button with an 'i'.

Thanks BetterRed.

Certainly, what i want is to import the metadata embebbed in the book. I knew to do it for a single book, but I think it would be very useful to do it with several books at once.

It's not present in the edit multiple book metadata section.

You select the books from the Gui and either hit control -D as theducks said or hit E ad select download metadata at the bottom left. But you must have selected multiple books in the GUI first. Click on first book. Hold shift key. Click on last book. type E

@kreti - you may be able achieve what you want procedurally, by
  • saving the formats that have the embedded metadata that you want extract - with the Update metadata in saved books setting OFF;
  • deleting those formats;
  • add them back with the Read metadata from file contents setting ON
  • then maybe use the Merge Books function.
You might be able to avoid the last step if you can make use of the merge duplicates option in the Add Books settings

I'd play around in a test library.
