conversion to .azw3, epub as source?
This may be a stupid question, so I apologize in advance..

I have a kindle keyboard atm, some files aren't properly formated or conversion from epub -> mobi didn't work out (structure/text/toc)...

If I convert others, does calibre use one file/format in that conversion over the other? for example, I have one book in both mobi/epub format and convert it to azw3 does it use the epub or mobi? can I specify which one?

For those files I've already converted I simply deleted the mobi format from each book.. was that uncessary?

If you had opened the conversion dialog you would see it offers a dropdown to choose both input and output formats.

On the bulk conversion screen? or do I have to convert each seperately?

If your preferred INPUT format is always the SAME:
Preferences:Behavior: (set the order in the Left column)

That should bias Bulk mode

great! I suspected it might make calibre "prefer" one format globally... but since I was using mobi for kindle I didn't want to go mucking about.
