Insert tags feature

I'm slowly moving from Sigil to Calibre edit. I've used Calibre as a library manager for a few years. An awesome job was done creating this so quickly and so thoroughly. My latest adventure is the insert tags feature. I have tried to add a couple of my own "clips" and messed up. How do I delete or edit the messed up entries? TIA

The recently used list you need is to be found inside the file tweak_book_gui.json in your calibre config directory.

Fully shutdown calibre before you start then edit in a good text editor (e.g. Notepad++ on Windows) and search for "insert_tag_mru"

Good practice would be to open in a text editor, rename the original perhaps by putting an underscore in front of it, then do your editing and saving of the file.

If you make a mistake you can always delete the problem file then remove the underscore so you are no worse of than you were before.

I'm on OSX Mavericks. I used the finder to search for tweak_book_gui.json and didn't find one. Is it named differently on the Mac?

Calibre: Preferences -> Advanced -> Miscellaneous -> Open Calibre configuration directory.
This should be similar to your OS
