Has anyone else had a problem of their screen being very laggy to respond? I have both an HD and an HD+, and there is a big difference in how quickly something opens on the HD+ compared to the HD. Also, compared to my dd's HD+, the buttons for screen off and volume are not as prominent. I am wondering if I got a dud, and need to return it before the warranty is up.

If you are comparing yours with an exact same model and it isnt stacking up, I would return it before the warranty runs out.

The HD+ should open faster than the HD; it's got a faster processor.

Rooting makes no difference at all. Rooting is just giving you access to the system files. It's like setting up a new user in Windows and making them an administrator.
If you've replaced the OS on your tablet, that's a different story. I run Cyanogenmod 10.2.1 on mine and it's not laggy a bit. |

The HD+ has 90% more pixels than the HD, but only a 15% faster CPU, so one would expect significantly slower screen updates on the HD+.

I ended up having it replaced and the new one is definitely better so it must have just been a dud.
