Permanently deleting "Browse by Category" tile

Hi,

After every sync on my Aura (firmware 3.2.0, 3.3.0), a tile appears letting me directly browse certain categories on the Kobo shop.

For me this is a waste of screen space. I can dismiss the tile, but it comes back in the next sync. In Settings > Syncing and updates I have turned off the "Get the latest from Kobo" notification, but it doesn't fix this.

Argh!

Is there a way to permanently disable it?

Add ShowCategoriesFteTile=false to the FeatureSettings section of your device's "Kobo eReader.conf" file:
Code:
[FeatureSettings]
ShowCategoriesFteTile=false
I found it annoying too, and was glad it could be turned off.

The file in in the .kobo/Kobo/ directory on the device, it is in plain text with unix-style line breaks. If you are using Windows, don't edit it with Notepad as it will mess up the line breaks. Instead use an editor like Notepad++, or check this list to see which editors work properly with unix line breaks.
