Calibre on Debian: it converts but not send.
Hi to everyone!
I have a problem with my Calibre version (0.8.51) on my Debian (Debian 7 with last updates). When I send with Calibre books to my Kindle, that are in a format not supported (es. ePub), Calibre start to convert the book in the right format (.mobi), then... nothing. In the "Works" list there is only the convertion work and not the sending work. I have to do again "Send to ****@kindle.com" to actually send it. I have not extra-plugin installed. I noticed this problem a few weeks ago, but I don't remember any change that I could do to my Calibre. I also tried to install and reinstall it. How can I resolve? Thanks. |

First install the latest version from http://calibre-ebook.com as you are using the distro version which is several years out of date. Running fully updated software will eliminate all kinds of bugs that have been fixed and may (or may not) have a bearing on your problem.
![]() Also, no support is provided for the distro versions. If it still doesn't work, report back here. |

It worked
Very thanks, it was so stupid. I thought that the rep version was the last one, but now I updated Calibre with the command on official website and it works. Nice! Thanks

If it's stupid, it's a very common kind of stupid. Many people assume the repos have the official version (that is what they're there for), and if calibre wasn't updated weekly, they'd be right!
