Kobo Aura-how to use Wifi&Calibre?

Hello,

I'm new to ereader world (and to this forum), so please pardon my ignorance

.

Recently I bought the Kobo Aura and used Calibre to upload some books. Connection via cable worked perfectly - device is detected and everything works fine.

But when I tried to use the WiFi connection, nothing happened.
I can tell it works because it synced with my Kobo account, so there is nothing wrong here.

Is there a way to see my Aura in Calibre using the Wifi (similar to cable connection)?

I did check that it is possible to access the Calibre remotely using the web browser (set it as a server and so on - tried and it works), but surely there is a simpler (and quicker) way?

I'm not sure whether it is relevant or not, but anyway - when selecting reader I chose generic, no additional plugins installed. Also nothing with the reader.

You can use the browser on the Aura to access the calibre library if the calibre server is running. But, there is no way to access the Aura from calibre using WiFi. You need to have it connected using the USB.
