import problems
Am having a problem where after each successful import of a new book, the subsequent import fails to load metadata or cover. The only way I can get it fixed is to uninstall and then reinstall the entire program. Am running the 64-bit version on Windows 7. Have also tried running the 32-bit version but same problem persists. Any idea what would be causing this?

I had the same problem, and after restarting in debug mode it worked perfectly as usual. On subsequent restart, still fine.

Restarted with Debug did not fix the problem for me. I am pasting in the Debug log. FYI - tried uninstalling and reloading and then imported the same PDF with no problem - so it is not an issue with a corrupt PDF. Import problem is only with PDF files.

I tried the suggestions in the FAQ but they fail to resolve the issue. Doesn't this seem like a bug that someone might want to address at some future point?

@moomintroll Try giving Calibre its own 'dedicated' temporary storage see ===>>> http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cust...ment-variables CALIBRE_TEMP_DIR

Thanks BR - adding this directory solved the issue.
