Kobo Mini with broken screen substrate free to a good home in Canada
I turned on my Mini today and have just bars on the screen. Pretty sure I broke it by closing a car door yesterday against the pocket it was in.

Looks fine physically, but random grey lines instead of text.

Does turn off (blank screen instead of book cover) and lines change with page forward etc. so motherboard is okay AFAIK.

Doubt I will try and fix it so if anyone in Canada has a dead mini in need of a working motherboard and the time or inclination to fiddle with it PM me and I will ship it (postage collect) as I hate to just throw it out.

Awww, poor Mini! If I could figure out where (if anywhere) to get a replacement Mini screen, I'd let my hubby have a go at fixing it... but from what I've seen, "fixing" them just isn't worth the cost apparently.

P.S. Is it a white one, or black?

It is black.

Not worth fixing for me. Would be fairly easy to put the motherboard in an existing case where the motherboard was damaged, but not worth tracking down one and paying for it.
