img link broken in Sigil & other questions

Hi,

Just learning the ropes of Sigil.
I had uploaded 3 images and appropriately linked them to their chapters.
Two days later, I happened to re-open those specific pages to find the images gone (broken). Blue box with 'X' in it.

Once those images are uploaded, are they a part of the file, or is it like a website where I need to create a folder on my local system called 'Images' to mirror the set-up in Sigil. - Could that be why they broke?

Also, I read Sigil supports SVG. I wouldn't be able to set the dimensions to my liking when calling an SVG file, right? Or would I? - Should I ensure the final SVG image is sized how I think it should appear @ 100%?

Finally, how do I package the final file to test on device? - Is it only the EPUB file I need? - What about the support images, if they indeed work by link association?

If you add the file to the book, by importing into Sigil, then the image will be stored in the EPUB. If you do not add the file into the book, but merely link to it, then it will only work on your computer, because that is where the image is located.

MAKE SURE the image was imported into the book. It should show up in the file browser on the left, under Images.

An SVG can be embedded just like a picture or written directly in the page.

A reader just needs the ePUB file in general.
